Kijiji Product Lead

 

Kijiji,
the eBay classified business is hiring a lead product manager to be responsible
for Kijiji Taiwan’s overall product strategy. This person will report to Kijiji
TW country manager and work with the entire Kijiji team to improve user
experiences, and define solutions to address community needs and new business opportunities
in TW.

 

You
must have significant experience with product management, user interaction or
content management for an Internet or software company in TW, and be ready for
the challenge of balancing a broad range of responsibilities covering from
product design, site operations, to community and product marketing.

 

You
must be passionate about your work, creative, disciplined, thorough, and
accountable, with a track record of success and ready to have fun.

Primary
responsibility

•  Report to Kijiji Taiwan Country Manager
  
•  Define product needs for Kijiji Taiwan,
  contribute to company strategy and translate business needs into product
  requirements
  
• Point of contact
  between Kijiji global product team, and the TW team, support the ongoing
  release of new local and global features, contributing to global product
  definition, functional requirements, and content changes
  
•  Responsible for overall Kijiji TW site operations.
•  Analyze product features adoption, and stay abreast of community needs
  and issues.
•  Project manager for 3rd party solutions to support platform
  needs and expansions.
• Responsible for product features marketing
•  Manage the progress of developers, including developers from central PD
  team who are assigned to Taiwan projects, local developer and outsourced
  developer team. 

Requirements

•  5+ years relevant product management experience
  
• Strong
  technical development and management background
  
• Successful experiences in launching major internet
  applications or sites in TW
  
• Familiar with PHP/ XML /
  jQuery/HTML/JavaScript/CSS/ MySQL WEB/Apache 
  

• Familiar with UNIX / Linux
• Strong passion
  for internet is a must. Understand internet users and their behaviors
• Knowledge of API
  solutions and search engine optimization
• Equally at ease speaking with business management and Web
  site developers
• Some experience
  in data analysis or related field a plus. Good sense of numbers and analysis
  
• Strong Creative
  and out-of-box thinking skills
  
•  Work best in a start-up
  and fast-pace and challenging environment
• Team player,
  self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Good
  communication skill, both in Chinese and English
• Strong software technical background a plus
